The premiere was attended by the Malawi High Commissioner His Excellency Professor Francis Moto and several other Malawi High Commission staff. Also present were the PFP production team, including founder Elspeth Waldie, director Colin Stevens and cameraman Moncho Aldamiz; Peaches Golding (the High Sheriff of Bristol); and Temwa staff and volunteers. The film was well received all round and, after the showing, there was a panel discussion for the audience to ask questions about the film and its surrounding issues. The expert panel consisted of the Malawi High Commissioner, Temwa founder and UK Manager Jo Hook, Temwa trustee and former Project Manager Luke Boddam-Whetam, Malawian HIV & AIDS expert Fidelis Sandani, Elspeth Waldie and Colin Stevens. The discussion was exceptionally enlightening, with the audience's questions showing that they had thoroughly understood the film's issues and themes. Many aspects came to light, such as issues with the making of the film, how the film is going to be used in Malawi and how attitudes towards HIV & AIDS have changed in Malawi over the past three decades. Temwa would especially like to thank all the panel members for their much valued contributions, as well as the Watershed for hosting the event. The Malawi premiere has been delayed over the past few months but should be taking place in August, following which the film's distribution will begin in earnest.
