New York Marathon for Temwa
Tuesday, 28 October 2008 11:18

marathon-nyDespite doom and gloom predicted for some small businesses and the credit crunch causing us all to tighten our belts, a young and dynamic Bristol-based media company is setting an example to companies across the country by still doing its bit to help those less fortunate even in tough economic times.

This week the CEO of Sift, Ben Heald, will be jetting off to raise money for Temwa by running the New York Marathon on November 2nd, 2008.

Ben has already raised over £2,400 in sponsorship for the marathon and with this and other fundraising events planned, Ben Heald and his colleagues at Sift hope to continue to support Temwa and its many projects in Malawi.

It is easy to blame the credit crunch for a significant drop in donations made to charities across the county, but with petrol prices sky high and food shortages worsening, it couldn't be a more important time to keep giving - every penny counts.
