It is the time of year again to dust off our penguin suits and dig out our posh frocks! Taking place on Saturday 29th September at the Leicester Marriott Hotel is the annual CVS Charity Gala Dinner in aid of Temwa and this year it promises to be one momentous event. With a 'Rat Pack' theme, champagne reception, three course meal, Ben Norris as compere, music from one of the premiere swing bands in the country (as seen on Comic Relief 2007!), an auction and a raffle, this event is sure to go down in Temwa's history books. Last year's event raised over £10,000 for Temwa that funded the building of Usisya's first library and will cover the librarians salary for whole year! It also paid for a solar panel upgrade for Temwa's office, for the implementation of horticultural training courses, for continued HIV/AIDS awareness projects and for the purchase of a motorcycle. We really can't stress enough the massive impact that all this will make to peoples lives and we would like to thank CVS again for their huge continued support.
