A work permit has finally been granted for Luke Boddam-Whetham, the new project manager for Temwa’s operations in Malawi It took a long time to arrange this permit, but we would like to thank Mr Kennedy Lweya and Mr Bright Malopa for their support and for putting us in contact with the correct people to help speed up the visa process. We would also like the thank the MP for Usisya Hon. Fred Pisho Nkhwazi, as well as the Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Hon. Kumbo Kachali, who both assisted us greatly in ensuring we received Luke’s work permit in good time. They have been extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. Luke, meanwhile, is really excited about starting his new position in Usisya. Jo Hook will be flying to Malawi with him on 5 September and will remain in the country for 10 days to carry out an induction programme. Luke and Jo’s arrival coincides with that of Martin Collins of Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) – Temwa’s main corporate sponsor. Martin will be delivering a 4x4 vehicle for use by the charity. Luke and Jo are both looking forward to being in Usisya with Martin. |
