Tonderai has been overseeing Temwa's operations in Malawi for almost three years. He previously worked as a consultant for USAID, he was also a founder for the Lead Trust in Zimbabwe. Tonderai has a vast amount of experience in international development in Africa. Alongside the day to day management of Temwa's Malawian ground team, he oversees the projects and financial intricacies with great effectiveness. He has also played a huge role in Temwa's recent growth: in the last 2 years Temwa has doubled in size. Tonderai is scheduled to tour Bristol, Bath, Leicester and London. He will be attending meetings with Temwa's key donors and corporate sponsors as well as training sessions with the Directory of Social Change (DSC). On 1st November, Temwa will be hosting an evening at the Boston Tea Party on Park Street in Bristol where Tonderai will be making a short presentation about the charity before taking questions from the audience and welcoming an open discussion relating to Temwa's work in Malawi. The evening is completely free to attend (though donations are very welcome) and we would really encourage anyone who has been involved with Temwa to come and find out just how the charity's work is benefitting the communities it serves in Malawi. Anyone interested in learning more about the charity's ins and outs and would like to meet the wonderful collection of artists, volunteers, musicians and local business owners involved with Temwa should definitely come along too. Aside from business work, Temwa founder Jo Hook and the UK team will also be showing Tonderai the highlights in and around our lovely, little city of Bristol. We are hugely looking forward to his arrival and hope that he really enjoys his time with us here.
