Update: Temwa & Deki Microfinance Project Launch Hugely Successful
Wednesday, 19 October 2011 12:05

deki_logo_web.jpegTemwa is pleased to announce that following the very recent launch of its new microloans scheme, our first five candidates have already reached their loan targets in just under a week.

This project is run by Temwa's partnering organisation Deki, who have established an accessible and uniquely personal approach to lending through microfinance. Through the online community that they have created, people from across the world have the opportunity to lend as little as £10 to a huge selection of entrepreneurs.

Each microloan offered is both completely interest and commission free which will help individuals to generate a viable and sustainable income for their families. This will also have a knock-on effect within communities, helping to build a thriving economy in the region.

Having reached their targets in an astonishingly short space of time, Temwa's first set of microloans candidates are now set to use the money borrowed to improve and expand on their businesses and establish themselves as successful entrepreneurs.

Through the Deki website, lenders can see the impact that their investments have made by following the progress of each of our entrepreneurs.

For more information on how to contribute to Deki's microfinance scheme please visit their website. Check back often if you would like to donate because the next group of loan candidates will be added very shortly.
